There was once an island where happiness became the ultimate treasure. One of the endless journey that seekers strive to find is the mystic elixir of happiness hidden beyond afar; where no one but the "chosen" will be able to find. |
Some spent the rest of their lives battling against each others arms, killing countless creations, stealing innocent lives. Some seeks to become the "chosen". Some speaks as if they were; fearlessly pretending to be the one-up to whom everyone looks up to find. The seekers searched the entire island. Some where even destined to become seekers, spending the rest of their lives looking for the hidden elixir. On the other side of the island lies a stranger, an outcast of the villagers, a mushroom-man popped one day. He was a kid of innocence, dumb, curious yet pure and tender. In his chest lies a riddle: "one that truly seeks shall find". Off before dawn, before the rain stops pouring, one of the seekers find the stranger. From his disappointments, darkness caught his entire soul. At glance he accused the stranger a thief-of something so important. He pulled out his dagger and chased the lonely stranger. The stranger cried for help. No one replied. Until a roar from afar screeched the whole island. a dazzling light outburst from the strangers chest. the riddle turned out into a flashing light. Of a sudden, the stranger disappeared. That moment, the seeker realized that he met the one-embedded with the elixir. That for the rest of his life, he will bear the burden, the curse of not knowing, the incantation that will jail him forever-his conscience. Of the time he saw something different, that time; if and only if he was at his self, if he wasn't taken by his insecurities and worries, if he was at his fullness, he would know. He was trained to seek for the elixir-of whatever form that it may take. But at the grasp of time, of a split second, he missed. How will the seekers find the stranger. How will the seekers know what form would it become. The quest continues... The journey to success in looking for the elixir on that island will never end... not until they realize that the elixir is always with them...
Thank God were not one of the villagers. Thank God we have the freedom to choose what we will become. Thank God we know what happiness is-contentment, simplicity, purity and love.
